How: do I download & install ? Use WinZip or ZipMagic to download. A useful hint is to make a seperate folder on your Desk Top beforehand. When the window opens asking where you want this file, download it into this file on your Desk Top. Now, after you have downloaded all your files, open your new folder and double-click on the zip file to install. Here is where you should install the different files: Walls: C:/Program Files/ Maxis/The Sims/Game Data/Walls. Floors: C:/Program Files/Maxis/The Sims/Game Data/Floors. Skins: C:/Program Files/Maxis/TheSims/Game Data/Skins. Objects: C/Program Files/Maxis/TheSims/Downloads.( A usefull hint to remember here is to make a seperate folder for each Web Site from where you download. That way you can keep track of what objects you downloaded from which Sims Site.) DOWNLOAD PROBLEMS? YOU ARE ASKED FOR A USERNAME & PASSWORD? a) De-activate ANY download manager. b) Use the latest IE or NETSCAPE browsers. c) If you are in another site's frame, get out & try again. d) Sometimes it's just busy....try later again. e) Sometimes it helps if you sign the guest book...lol.. no, it's not a trick from my side to get you to say hallo... f) AOL users may need to use a ftp browser to download zip files. If you use the program ReGet, simply right-click on offered download and in the opened menu, use the option "Download using ReGet" If you discover another solution to the problem, PLEASE mail me so as I can share it with other visitors.
